Ossie Davis, an actor distinguished for roles dealing with human rights and racial injustice on stage, screen and in real life - and perhaps best known as the husband and partner of actress Ruby Dee - has died on Feb. 4, 2005 at the age of 87. Feb 24 to March 13 - Ripped from the headlines, fact and fiction blur in this timely story of newsroom ambition. When an affluent white inner-city school teacher is murdered, young African-American journalist Yvonne thinks she has found the story to launch her career. But when her academic credentials come under fire so does her journalistic integrity and the truth about her story. |
