On Thursday January 27, 2005 Debra Plummer was awarded the Accident Fund Community Service Award for volunteer work on the Juneteenth Committee and Community Outreach at Mask Memorial CME Church. I feel very blessed to be able to do what I do for others and to share this award with all of my faithful supporters who have stood by me throughout the years and watched as we have grown the Juneteenth Festival and moved it to greater heights. I can't say enough about the importance of the Church and role it brings about in positive change for the Community and being there to meet the needs of those who need and depend on us. Thank you all for your support and inspiration.

The choir along with thrilling drummers and dancers offers a musical cornucopia of traditional African gospel and modern western Spiritiuals sung in six of Soweto's 11 languages. Feb 26 - Mardi Gras 2005 hosted by the MSU Alumni Club of Mid Michigan and MSU Black Alumni, Inc. - Lansing Chapter from 7:00 PM to 12:30 A.M. at the Lansing Holiday Inn South ENjoy authentic Louisiana-style grub, Hurricanes (um, um, good!) beads and music by Root Doctor.
