FLU SEASON

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Once again the flu season is upon us and good health is vital for young children. It is so important for them to remain healthy. As parents and guardians, you can make sure they have balanced meals, warm clothing, regular exercise, good hygiene, etc. There are steps to be taken so that your family doesn’t suffer from the viruses that usually plagued our environment as the winter weather approaches. Here are some suggestions that might cut down being susceptible to the flu virus:

- If possible, get the flu vaccine.
- Keep hands washed and clean.
- Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Drink plenty of water and fluids.
- Be sure to exercise.
- Get plenty of rest every night.

Of course there is always a chance that your children or you may catch the flu anyway, but perhaps it won’t be as traumatic if everyone iis relatively healthy. Try not to take unnecessary chances if germs seem to be prevalent. With children attending school and parents/guardians attending work places, it may not be easy to ward off viruses, but you can at least prepare yourself as much as possible. Please try to stay healthy.

Sincerely,
Ms. Dee
