Sept. 17 – 18 - Moving Toward the Higher Call Union Missionary Baptist Church Annual Woman’s Conference at 500 S. Martin Luther King, Blvd., Lansing, MI. Registration $40.00. Friday – An evening of praise & worship featuring soloist Lecresia Campbell and local soloist. Saturday: Intercessaory Prayer – Praise & Worship. Sept. 17-18 - A True Worship Experience for Women of Faith! The Women’s Ministry of New Mount Calvary Baptist Church is calling all women of faith, who in spite of the circumstances, will simply respond: Lord I Praise Thee! The conference will explore several topics including: Lifestyle of Praise and Worship; Keeping it Real and Praising Him Anyhow. Speakers will include Elder Sabrina Black of Detroit; Reverend Martha Jo Davis of Lansing (Mt Hope Church, Lansing); Sis. Christine Holman (Tithe Baptist Church, Lansing); Sis. Marion Love (River Rouge Bible Assembly, Detroit); Minister Qunita Williamston (True Light M B Church, Lansing). Friday activities are open to the public. Sept. 19 - Musical Appreciation Program for J. C. Hemmingway. At 4 PM, St. Stevens’ Minister of Music, J. C. Hemingway will be honored for more than 16 years of service. This event will feature some special musical guests. St. Stephen’s Community Church, 1420 W. Oakland Avenue, Lansing. Rev. Dr. Michael Murphy, Pastor. The event is free and open to the public. Sept. 19 - The Friendship Baptist Church Gospel Chorus will hold its 39th Anniversary Service, at 3:30 p.m. Guests will be New Mt. Calary Choir,
Martha Bibbs, Marinell White, Rev. Marvel Lange, Algie Watkins and the FBC Male Chorus. Everyone is invited to come help "Sing Praises unto the Lord Because He is Who He Is." This Service is open to the

Sept. 26 - St. Stephen’s Community Church UCC announces its 17th Anniversary Celebration at 10:00 a.m., the Rev. Nicholas Hood, III, Pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church, UCC, in Detroit, will be the guest speaker. He is slated to bringing his dynamic 10 Voice Praise Team. Sept. 26 - Friendship Baptist Church will host its 3rdAnnual Back to School Skate-A-Thinned at Ecru Skate*A*Rama, 1891 N. Cedar, in Holt, MI. from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $7 per person which include stakes. If you want in-line skates, add an additional $2 or you can bring your own.
